Since you decided to dwelve into the othell's mechanics, may I mention a certain part of them that was never thoroughly implemented in the server -the half kill - It applies only once on a players cp ,all other half kills a player does in pvp have no effect on enemy's hp. They are mentioned at the damage board but do not have the practical effect of reducing enemies hp by 50%. And finally I do not recall what the Lethal hit rate was ,we could not see those stats in the officials ..but I'm sure it was way more than a 1,2 or 1,6 % as is here.
Half Kills do work as intended. Half Kills Drain CP to 0 and the skill damage goes to HP since GOD Awakening.
This is how Half Kills work since GOD update:
Half-kills drain to 1 the target CP and allow damage to go right into HP, so, for example, if you land a Deadly Blow + Half kill, you'd get enemy to 0 CP and the skill dmg will land right into HPs.
Full Lethals are gone since Gracia/Freya updates, they used to drain CP and HP of the target down to 1 with a single blow.
2. Each skill has it`s own half kill chance rate, this chance can be increased by:
a. vital blow success rate giving buffs/skills/items bonuses
b. resistance to deadly attack success rate (rare)
3. Some skills damage can go straight to hp.
4. DOTS (damage over time skills - like bleed effect,etc) go through any invulnerability.
Be aware that game mechanics changed compared to previous high five/interlude/other.
GOD game mechanics are different. Maybe one day we will have the time to make a nice wiki with stat bonuses and game mechanics explicitly explained. But whatever doubt you have can be discussed.
We spent years making this server, especially when it comes to othel class, in terms of game mechanics, one of our devs was a hero on official and spent years there, game mechanic wise othel class should be flawless. Buggs regarding bonuses and such might happen, since we constantly update the game content with new skills, but general game mechanics/formulas most of the times stay the same.
